PC World Reviews Apple OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

PC World reviews the newest release of Apple’s Max OSX version 10.5 codenamed “Leopard”. In this review “Edward Mendelson” states one big remark. “First: despite minor problems, it’s by far the best operating system ever written for the vast majority of consumers, with dozens of new features that have real practical value—like truly automated backups, preview images in folders, and notes and to-do lists integrated into the mail program”. I have only played with Leopard in the last few days and seen it in action on a co-workers laptop, and I’m starting to thing more and more about purchasing a Macbook Pro!

Helio Ocean Graffiti Hotness

Helio Ocean Graffiti Hotness -

I’m a Sidekick 3 fanboy through and through, but Helio is definitely making its case. I’ve had an Ocean for a few weeks now and I’ll admit that I love it. The GPS feature is hot and it definitely helps me out when I manage to get lost in NYC. I came across some really cool vids that Helio has put up on Youtube and I thought I’d share it with everyone. This particular video is of STASH and his ongoing mural for the Ocean on the Upper West Side of NYC. Not only is the art hot, but the music by Lady Tigra will rock you out. Check out all the other Helio vids here.

iriver’s UNIT2 detailed on teaser site

One of the sexist and functional MP3 devices I've seen yet. The iPod had its time, and even the smallest iPod is really sexy. But this is just over the top.
iriver's UNIT2 detailed on teaser site -

Mmm, there's nothing like fragmented high-resolution photos of a lust-worthy device to get us salivating, and iriver's marketing department has done an exquisite job figuring that out. Shortly after unveiling the sexiest e-dictionary known to man, the much anticipated UNIT2 conglomerate received its own teaser site, complete with photos and a few extra details you should know. While it has yet to lose its mystique, we now know (officially, at least) that the base will act as a DVD player, TV tuner, access point, charging station, hard drive, and a speaker station. Aside from sporting an SD slot and USB connectivity, this beauty will handle music, movies, photos, eBooks, and WiFi streaming without breaking a sweat. Mechanically, you can expect an automatic sliding door, detachable display, slot-loaded CD / DVD deck, and a 78-key controller to manage the fun. No word yet on the price, but be sure to peek the additional photos below.

Speed up Google Analytics with a local urchin.js

Over at the Ask Apache site there is an article about Google Analytics and how to speed up your page load. You can read it here: Speed Up Google Analytics with Urchin.js
Ever notice that sometimes your sites take a while to load all the way because google's urchin.js file is taking forever? You may recognize this problem when you see something similar to this in your browsers status bar "Transferring data from google-analytics.com..." Time To Setup? 4 minutes I got tired of seeing that all the time and so I set up an automated cronjob that runs every 12 hours and downloads the latest version from google, and saves it to my website directory, then I reference /urchin.js instead of http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js.. and my site loads a lot faster!
