Apple releases iPhone 2.0.2 Firmware/Update

It has only been a few weeks and Apple has already released an updated firmwave for the iPhone. Could this mean Apple isn’t going to sit on bugfixes, are more updates going to be released in the same short time span. A couple of weeks is really short, however a couple of months to improve some iPhone features, fix bugs or release new functionality is something that should be embraced.

Apple would definitely get praise from the heavy users of the iPhone.

The 248.7MB update is available only through iTunes and comes just two weeks after version 2.0.1.

In traditional Apple form, no specific issues are identified in the current release notes, which only indicate “bug fixes” for the mobile operating system.

Past claims by alleged insiders and users have suggested that the update may fix connectivity problems causing dropped calls and unintended switches from 3G to the 2G EDGE network. AppleInsider will update if this or other new features are confirmed with the release.

I just purchased my iPhone and I’m already loving everything about it. I know every new cell phone at first is hard to put down. But with the iPhone where ever I find a spare moment I start playing with it. Looking at apps, twittering or just trying to see what I can do with it.

I just can’t wait for more features to play with.

Linksys WRT54G and WRT54GL Being Phased Out?

I went to pick up a Wireless Router from a local computer shop http://www.a-power.com in hopes of grabbing a WRT54GL or at least a WRT54GS. The main reason being that I could flash the hardware to run DD-WRT http://www.dd-wrt.com which is a third part open source router firmware.
