Can SEO Exist within Drupal?

Good, but outdated article dealing with SEO and Drupal. I have adopted most of the modules and changes listed on this site. You also want to make sure that you use the Google Webmaster Tools, they're your friend and will guide you to success.
I began the Devbee website back in March as a way to help others by way of documenting what I have learned about Drupal and also to drum up a little bit of business for myself. The content of this site is extremely targeted, and I don't ever expect to see more than a few hundred visits a day. This definitely does not reflect the expectations, or at least hopes, of most website owners. It's typically all about bringing in as many visitors as possible to generate money through advertising or purchases. Sites interested in bringing in large numbers of visitors typically do this by spending a lot of time focusing on "search engine optimization" (SEO). Absolutely nothing can drive traffic to a site like a top placement in the search results on one of the major search engines. - [DevBee]

Dubious 1980’s in-home nuclear reactor ad from Japan

Dubious 1980's in-home nuclear reactor ad from Japan -

Filed under:

Back in the carefree but confusing days of the 1980's, chicks and dudes were looking for all kinds of new ways to lessen their need for oil-based energy. If you believe anything you see in this ad mockup (and that's a big "if"), a company in Japan was working on a tiny, in-home nuclear reactor -- pleasantly named Chernobyl. We'll have to assume for the moment that this was pre-catastrophic meltdown, when the Russian power-plant was considered a feat of modern engineering instead of just a big, mutant-making hellride. The device supposedly would have been "simple to operate, even for children and the elderly", but carried an ominous warning to "discontinue use" if you experience "dizziness or a tingling sensation". Was this for real? Read the translation and judge for yourself.

Corporate critics feel the stinging lash of DMCA misuse

I use to work for an ISP and was head of the Abuse Department. We only really received legitimate DCMA's that were then handled by legal. We didn't really seem to get that many DMCA notices, maybe its because we're a Canadian organization?
Corporate critics feel the stinging lash of DMCA misuse -

Two recent cases show that companies aren't always fans of criticism, and some will file misguided DMCA notices and defamation cases to scrub it from the Internet.
