I for one am currently at torn between XP and Vista. I like XP because it doesn’t crash, my drivers work. However, more people keep asking for help with Vista, and I haven’t even logged into a Vista Machine yet. šŸ™ Microsoft Pleads With Consumers to Adopt Vista Now – SlinkySausage writes “Microsoft has admitted, in an email to the press, that ‘some customers may be waiting to adopt Windows Vista because they’ve heard rumors about device or application compatibility issues, or because they think they should wait for a service pack release.’ The company is now pleading with customers not to wait until the release of SP1 at the end of the year, launching a ‘fact rich’ program to try to convince them to ‘proceed with confidence’. The Russian Mafia Doesn’t Like Spam Either

This is a very interesting read, it looks as though Spammer Alexy Tolstokozhev was found murdered within his spam-bought estate.
We all know how annoying can spam be. Although there are highly sophiscated tools nowadays, which can reduce the amount of spam in your mailbox to the minimum, itā€™s still at least unpleasent to see all those ā€œpenis enlargementā€ mails. But people working in this ā€œbusinessā€ arenā€™t safe anymore: Alexey Tolstokozhev (btw, in Russian his name means ā€˜Thick Skinā€™), a Russian spammer, was found murdered in his luxury house near Moscow. He has been shot several times with one bullet stuck in his head. According to authorities, this last head shot is a clear mark of russian hit men (known as ā€œkillersā€ in Russia). Tolstokozhev was a famous spammer who sent millions of e-mail promoting viagra, cialis, penis enlargement pills and other medications.

Hard times for hard drives: US may ban popular imports

This could be a damaging blow to quite a few companies within the United States. For instance, take a dedicated server hosting company that relies on one of many hardware vendors like Dell or HP (Hewlett-Packard). Its possible that said vendor will have stock pile of hard drives. Put lets put this into perspective. If you read the entire article you will see a similar situation that ended with Broadcom filing a complaint against Qualcomm. The International Trade Commission banned Qualcomm from shipping any new chips and hardware into the United Sates, and any chips that were already being shipped to the United States could continue. The ban lasted for 45 days, until an appeal by Qualcomm was successful and then the ban was lifted.
