Microsoft Pleads With Consumers to Adopt Vista Now

I for one am currently at torn between XP and Vista. I like XP because it doesn’t crash, my drivers work. However, more people keep asking for help with Vista, and I haven’t even logged into a Vista Machine yet. 🙁 Microsoft Pleads With Consumers to Adopt Vista Now – SlinkySausage writes “Microsoft has admitted, in an email to the press, that ‘some customers may be waiting to adopt Windows Vista because they’ve heard rumors about device or application compatibility issues, or because they think they should wait for a service pack release.’ The company is now pleading with customers not to wait until the release of SP1 at the end of the year, launching a ‘fact rich’ program to try to convince them to ‘proceed with confidence’. The announcement coincides with an embarrassing double-backflip: Microsoft had pre-briefed journalists that it was going to allow home users to run Vista basic and premium under virtual machines like VMWare, but it changed its mind at the last minute and pulled the announcement.” Read more of this story at Slashdot. Firefox Extensions Waiting to Be Exploited

With anything that is open source, bugs and exploits will be found. However, this makes it easy for developers to patch these issues. As they know the code that is causing the problem, and usually the hacker will provide a patch for them that just needs to be reviewed. However, this is a real concern for myself, since I use over 10 FireFox extension.
Firefox Extensions Waiting to Be Exploited - Do you think you are safe with Firefox? In general, I would agree with you. But at the same time, I would also point out that there is a fairly sizable security concern that may be addressed, as effectively as some security experts might like. Shouldn't the Air Force have more than this already implemented? Hopefully this software doesn't take lots of tax money and never go anywhere or even get implemented.

Helio Ocean Graffiti Hotness

Helio Ocean Graffiti Hotness -

I’m a Sidekick 3 fanboy through and through, but Helio is definitely making its case. I’ve had an Ocean for a few weeks now and I’ll admit that I love it. The GPS feature is hot and it definitely helps me out when I manage to get lost in NYC. I came across some really cool vids that Helio has put up on Youtube and I thought I’d share it with everyone. This particular video is of STASH and his ongoing mural for the Ocean on the Upper West Side of NYC. Not only is the art hot, but the music by Lady Tigra will rock you out. Check out all the other Helio vids here.
