I haven’t seen this on any private trackers that I’m on. It looks like it hasn’t fully been leaked. Either way, I want to install this and try it out. I am definitely liking OSX more and more as they keep adding features and GUI improvements. Here’s a screen shot. And another. And another. That last one made me laugh. Oops! Nobody’s completely downloaded the 6GB file yet, but the site’s forum is red hot with activity and the file already has 205 comments. Choice lines about the leak in recent days have included “this is f*#$ing ridiculous. i want leopard, and i want it now. hurry, before some heads start to roll” and “Please do not talk about this torrent file outside of OINK.” Someone should notify Apple. Swiftweasel 2.0.0.4.1 (Default branch)

Unfortunately there is no swiftweasel for debian etch/testing:

I had to browse to the SourceForge project page, and download the appropriate version for my machine, which is a athlon64/32bit.

I just untar'd the file, and ran ./firefox from within the directory and it picked up all my settings and everything. Next I had to set it up so that I just had to type firefox within a console. So I created a symlink in my 'bin' folder with all my other custom perl scripts and other command line programs/scripts:
[jordant@jordant:/home/jordant/bin]> ln -s ../swiftweasel/firefox firefox [jordant@jordant:/home/jordant/bin]> rehash [jordant@jordant:/home/jordant/bin]> firefox &
I also had to setup my fluxbox keybinding like so:
Mod4 z :ExecCommand firefox &
I originally was using "iceweasel" which is the Debian fork of Firefox, you can read why Debian had to fork Firefox on WikiPedia I do notice a difference, pages load pretty fast and the FasterFox Plugin helps. However they packaged an extension called "AdBlocks" which I've never used and I don't really like. But for now I have just removed it.

Alright, the whole touchscreen thing is getting a little out of hand. In the latest example of touch-frenzy, luxe clothier Ralph Lauren is converting a large window at its London flagship store into a giant touchscreen shopping experience as part of its Wimbledon marketing campaign. Much like Microsoft's Big-Ass Table, the 78-inch window is coated with touch-sensitive foil, and the image is beamed onto it by a hidden projector -- allowing users to purchase Ralph's latest duds and even take in a tennis lesson or two. Purchases are paid for via phone or email the next day -- so you can't explain away that $75 pink polo by saying you accidentally brushed the screen.

I don't why Yahoo! has MySpace on their mind. As it has already peak above all the other free social networks. A better candidate that seems to be growing steadily is FaceBook!

Well this is big. Apparently, Yahoo! has discussed buying MySpace from News Corp in a bid to save itself from irrelevance. In return, News Corp. would get 30 percent of the newly combined Yahoo!+MySpace. Or, in dollar amounts, News Corp would cash in to the tune of $11.1 billion. Considering Murdoch and Co. bought MySpace for $650 million, I’d say that’s a deal and a half. Too bad Yahoo!’s recent restructuring puts the deal, if there ever really was one, in jeopardy.

But you know what? A lot of us here think that buying Facebook is the better move for Yahoo! Let’s admit it: MySpace simply isn’t what it was two years ago and all the momentum in the world appears to be behind Facebook. Its community is just what advertisers love—kids with cash to burn—and the site isn’t a disaster to read like MySpace can be.

I had the chance to try Splunk out about 3 months ago. The software was rather easy to install, however one thing that did seem to a little hard to use was the interface and the general working with inputs for the software. The search function was really neat, and easy to find errors that were occurring. The free version is limited but still usable, in a larger environment this product would probably be a life saver. Single server deployments, not so much.
