The many governments around the world are facing a growing concern as the internet gains more popularity and becomes more accessible. You need to provide information or access to services or devices to many different locations across your country or the world, and the only way to do this is through private networks and the internet.

Recently a report by McAfee has been released called the "Virtual Criminology Report" which is a report on Organized Crime on the Internet. Its a nice little read, and has some graphs showing some information about countries and their operations.

The internet is a huge threat to any Government agency, since its open for anyone to access. In recent news you might have seen some articles about how the US Government thinks that the internet is a terrorist tool, and that it should be monitored and controlled. Anything can be a terrorist tool if used properly, its not the medium that is the problem its what travels through it. If you’re not well enough equipped to stop people from gaining access to your network, don’t take the internet down with you.

Can SEO Exist within Drupal?

Good, but outdated article dealing with SEO and Drupal. I have adopted most of the modules and changes listed on this site. You also want to make sure that you use the Google Webmaster Tools, they're your friend and will guide you to success.
I began the Devbee website back in March as a way to help others by way of documenting what I have learned about Drupal and also to drum up a little bit of business for myself. The content of this site is extremely targeted, and I don't ever expect to see more than a few hundred visits a day. This definitely does not reflect the expectations, or at least hopes, of most website owners. It's typically all about bringing in as many visitors as possible to generate money through advertising or purchases. Sites interested in bringing in large numbers of visitors typically do this by spending a lot of time focusing on "search engine optimization" (SEO). Absolutely nothing can drive traffic to a site like a top placement in the search results on one of the major search engines. - [DevBee]

Symantec outgrows underground nuclear bunker

Almost like a RTCW Malware Camp. Would be interesting to see what the bunker looks like.
Symantec outgrows underground nuclear bunker - Symantec has emerged from its bunker in the British countryside, moving its malware-fighting operations from a former U.K. military nuclear shelter to a more conventional office in Reading. The nuclear bunker, with concrete walls and an obscure entrance on a hillside near Twyford, England, was used for one of the company's Special Operations Center (SOC). The regional centers are used by security analysts who are part of the company's Managed Security Services. Companies hire Symantec to help with part or all of their IT security operations.

The nuclear shelter may have been good public relations for a security company, but it wasn't comfortable: It lacked windows and had "sanitation" problems, company officials said. On Wednesday, Symantec offered a tour of its new facility in Reading to journalists, analysts, and customers. The facility, formerly used by storage company Veritas, which Symantec acquired in 2005, has twice as much space as the bunker and was needed to accommodate Symantec's growth.

Sony’s back: shifting from “recovery to profitable growth” — 380 new PS3 games

I still think that the PS3 will come back to haunt us all. Although I'm not a console gamer, but rather strictly a PC Gamer I have always loved the PS titles I played at my friends house. But I have see the graphics for the Xbox 360 and they look just amazing. Wait for the new GTA and THPS to see if the PS3 will rise from the grave it has been placed into by the console community.

var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/playstation_3/380_PS3_games_announced_by_Sony_return_to_profits'; Howard Stringer -- Sony Corp's CEO and man with the plan -- just exited stage-left from Sony's annual shareholder meeting in Tokyo. To say that the 6,000 attendees were skeptical of said plan would be an understatement given a year of fiscal losses, job cuts, PS3 under-performance (with an eventual Kutaragi dismissal), and an embarrassing and dangerous recall of some 10 million batteries among other missteps. Still, Howard stood strong, assuring investors that Sony has made the swtich from "recovery to profitable growth" and will be a "dominant company" in the digital age. So what's the plan?

iriver W10 revealed on teaser site

iriver W10 revealed on teaser site -

We'd probably be more inclined to gripe about iriver stringing us along like this -- five gadgets, five days, hardly any hard facts -- if there wasn't so much sexy to the devices and photographs the DAP manufacturer is tossing up every 24 hours or so. Today's gadget is the iriver W10, a slim little touchscreen number we got to play with at CES, which seems to swipe some of the iPhone's interface ideas for touchscreen VoIP dialing, while still sticking with those WPS (WiFi positioning system) and PDA / e-book / PMP features we heard about before. We wish we had more to tell you, like price or a release date, but two things are certain: iriver seems bent on swiping every gadget dollar we've ever stashed, and is singlehandedly keeping the hand modelling industry in business.
