Helio Ocean Graffiti Hotness

Helio Ocean Graffiti Hotness – I’m a Sidekick 3 fanboy through and through, but Helio is definitely making its case. I’ve had an Ocean for a few weeks now and I’ll admit that I love it. The GPS feature is hot and it definitely helps me out when I manage to get lost in NYC. I came across some really cool vids that Helio has put up on Youtube and I thought I’d share it with everyone. This particular video is of STASH and his ongoing mural for the Ocean on the Upper West Side of NYC. Not only is the art hot, but the music by Lady Tigra will rock you out. Check out all the other Helio vids here. [CrunchGear]

I haven't been keeping up with my submissions as of late so this one squeaked through. But the http://iphone-dev.org team has updated both their PwnageTool and QuickPwn Tool. There is still however no baseband unlock, just support for new jailbreaking of the new firmware.

Red Hat Vows To Stand Up To Patent Intimidation

It looks like Red Hat isn't going to allow Microsoft to bully them into paying for Patent Protection. Microsoft has stated that linux is infringing on multiple patents and intellectual property. Red Hat provides an enterprise Linux operating system, when you're more or less purchasing continual and automatic updates and the option for Technical Support from RedHat directly. Red Hat previously provided their Variant of Linux for free, and then discontinued it. They now provide a free desktop version called Fedora there are also other variants of Fedora like CentOS which is more of an enterprise operating system very much like Red Hat but not affiliated with Red Hat directly.

Web 2.0: Apps for the well-organized student - pencils.png

Read/WriteWeb has created a list of their top web applications for students - but honestly, anyone who wants to be more organized could benefit from this list.

Many of these have been featured here at Lifehacker central; however, I really like how this list is organized into specific categories: office replacements, taking notes, mind mapping, studying, bookmarking, collaboration, calendars, calculators, and more. Do you see anything missing from this list? Let's hear it in the comments.

The Russian Mafia Doesn’t Like Spam Either

This is a very interesting read, it looks as though Spammer Alexy Tolstokozhev was found murdered within his spam-bought estate.
We all know how annoying can spam be. Although there are highly sophiscated tools nowadays, which can reduce the amount of spam in your mailbox to the minimum, it’s still at least unpleasent to see all those “penis enlargement” mails. But people working in this “business” aren’t safe anymore: Alexey Tolstokozhev (btw, in Russian his name means ‘Thick Skin’), a Russian spammer, was found murdered in his luxury house near Moscow. He has been shot several times with one bullet stuck in his head. According to authorities, this last head shot is a clear mark of russian hit men (known as “killers” in Russia). Tolstokozhev was a famous spammer who sent millions of e-mail promoting viagra, cialis, penis enlargement pills and other medications.
