Jet packs for sale! Life insurance sold separately -

It looks like those still bemoaning the lack of readily-available jet packs can now finally get a (brief) taste of the 21st century they once envisioned, as Popular Mechanics reports that two different wearable flying contraptions are now available for sale. Coming from Tecnologia Aeroespacial Mexicana and Jetpack International, the jet packs will each give you about 30 seconds of flight time, with Jetpack International's model boasting a slight advantage in speed, topping out at 70 mph. Somewhat reassuringly, each also come complete with the necessary flight training, although we wouldn't expect any less given the $250,000 and $155,000 price tags. Those that take the plunge may be suffering from some buyer's remorse before too long, however, as Jetpack International is reportedly working on a new model that'll give you a full 19 minutes of flight time.

Writers Write “B-Logs,” Get Money

This is an interesting read of other people in the business that write all about technology and get paid for it. I guess we're all trying to get to a point in our life where we can do something we enjoy and also be financially stable at the same time. This is a good way to start.
Writers Write “B-Logs,” Get Money -

arringtonmalikx.jpgUSA Today, that bastion of hard news, is covering a new fad popular with the kids called “B-logging.” They talk about two “b-loggers,” Om Malley and Mike Orvington, who used to work at real jobs and now eat ice cream and write about computers.

Now I don’t know who these people are or what they think they’re doing, but I think it’s bad to show people that you can make “real money” — how much, Om Malley? $5? HA! — doing this. There are jobs that Americans should be doing — car repair, HVAC installation, dance instruction — that are going empty while these two jokers sit around all day pretending to work. For shame. “B-logging,” like stamp collecting and religious observance, should be considered a hobby and nothing more. Let’s not encourage these bozos.

AT&T To Impose Early Cancellation Charge On iPhone

AT&T To Impose Early Cancellation Charge On iPhone -

Thinking about getting an iPhone, unlocking it, then jetting across the street to T-Mobile? Better think twice before doing that friend, ’cause AT&T is out to nail you with a hefty fine for backing out of your agreement with them. Despite the iPhone not being a subsidized item for AT&T, the company still will charge you $175 for terminating your contract early. Sucky, I know.

Like I’ve said in the past, AT&T needs to retain these iPhone customers that will swarm stores next week. Imposing a cancellation fee of that caliber sucks, but it’s how the world works. No word if customers with existing accounts will be subject to the fee.

Fortier & Co. Makes Stylin’ Body Armor

Fortier & Co. Makes Stylin’ Body Armor -

Those of our readers who are aspiring rap artists should pay close attention. Frontier & Co. works with big name clothing designers like Burberry, YSL, Kenneth Cole, etc. to design body armor that blends in naturally with your apparel. Take for instance this beautiful trenchcoat from Burberry. It uses ballistic fibers that are stronger than steel, yet lightweight, to protect you from oncoming bullets. It also doubles as an incredibly handsome coat.

Unfortunately, protection and style do not come cheap. The aforementioned coat will set you back $2195 for the basic model. That means you could end up spending some serious cash if you’re worried about being taken out by an AK-47.
